Muslim-Convert Pilot Reinstated

According to an AP report released Tuesday, a 37-year-old New Jersey native and veteran of the Gulf War has been reactivated to flying status by his employer, Colgan Air, a Continental affiliate regional carrier. The pilot had been suspended, allegedly due to his Muslim faith. He had converted to Islam, and his attorneys argued that there is no evidence that his religion constituted any threat to the flying public.
